Contributing towards a new skilling and employment agenda for Uganda

National Skilling and Employment Summit · 5 and 6 May 2026 · Ministry of Public Service

Hybrid Summit · Kololo Independence Grounds, Kampala + live online

Private sector, investors & employers

Hire, invest, and co-design with clarity and scale. The 2026 Summit (CDF concept) plans for 15,000+ in person and 8,500+ online: one programme, so your brand, your message, and your commitments land once, to a full national audience, not a fragmented series of small rooms.

Why the Summit is built for you

Uganda needs more good jobs, better training matches, and private-sector growth that young people can enter. This is the core of the concept note. The Summit brings Presidential Skilling Centres, universities, TVET, and training providers into the same space as employers and young job seekers, with government in the room to align policy with reality. For investors, that means deal flow you can see, talent you can test, and co-financing and apprenticeship models you can help shape in plenaries and breakouts, not in private corners.

Who we are also inviting in

Alongside a wide private-sector family: Uganda Manufacturers Association, PSFU, Presidential CEO Forum, UIA, and more. The event expects serious presence from skilling and education institutions so the conversation is not “youth in one room, business in another.” That is the point of the CDF 2026 design.

What you can expect as a partner

  • Reach: a hybrid crowd at the scale the concept sets: 15,000+ on site, 8,500+ on the live online programme, and clear branding rules so your investment in the Summit is visible and credible.
  • Co-design: breakouts, expos, and rapid sessions where you can say what you need from skills and training, not five years after the curriculum is printed.
  • Alignment with national policy (NDP, Vision 2040, Human Capital Development) so your ESG, workforce, and local content goals support Uganda’s own plans, not parallel tracks that do not add up.
  • Follow-up you can track: post-Summit engagement is part of the design, so a handshake in May becomes a line item you can follow in the months after.
