Contributing towards a new skilling and employment agenda for Uganda

National Skilling and Employment Summit · 5 and 6 May 2026 · Ministry of Public Service

Hybrid Summit · Kololo Independence Grounds, Kampala + live online

Impact reports

After the Summit, this is where to find honest numbers and stories: what changed for young people, workers, and partners, aligned to the 2026 concept’s focus on learning, accountability, and follow-up.

What we will report after the Summit

The 2026 concept emphasises learning and accountability: what was promised in plenary, which partners committed what, and how young people’s employment and enterprise outcomes move over time. Post-Summit dialogues and engagement with MDAs and Parliament should make follow-up visible. This page will host plain-language impact summaries, charts, and partner accountability views for investors and the public, alongside detailed government publications when they are available.

Indicators and sources

When the narrative draws on official data, we expect to point to national human capital, labour market, and NEET updates and related statistics (for example from UBOS, MoPS, and MoGLSD where relevant). Any independent evaluation commissioned in line with the steering arrangements will be linked here as appropriate.

Coming next

Content will be added after May 2026. Until then, follow news and resources, and read the commitments and “after the Summit” section in the concept-aligned programme page.
